ASES Hosts 14th Annual National Solar Tour

If you are intrested in a renewable energy career and want to learn more about the green industry, check out the American Solar Energy Society's (ASES) Annual National Solar Tour. You can walk through homes, talk to the occupants and see how they are successfully implementing renewable energy strategies like solar and other sustainable technologies to enhance comfort, while decreasing energy costs.
The tour, which is scheduled throughout the year, is sponsored by ASES, the U.S. Department of Energy, and several companies in the energy efficiency and renewable energy fields. The ASES estimates the tour will attract more than 150,000 particpants visiting about 5,000 buildings in 3,000 communities across the United States. A major focus of this home tour is on efficient appliances, building design, and the use of green materials when a home is being built or remodeled.
